Pitfalls on the Path of Spiritual Maturity
When Jesus invites us into relationship with Him, it is an invitation to move forward in an ongoing process of spiritual growth. Spiritual maturity is not measured just by what we know...but by how we behave. That's why the Book of James - written by the brother of Jesus - focuses on the importance of the Christian's life.
In the first two chapters of this powerful book, James describes some spiritual pitfalls that can hamper our growth: incorrect attitudes, misunderstandings, and poor responses to life situations. His goal is to help us gain a better understanding of God's truth, so that we are able to live more godly lives...and truly become the spiritually mature men and women that God wants us to be.
